Swedish Volleyball Federation invests in Spintso Refcom II Pro

The Swedish Volleyball Federation has decided to upgrade parts of its communication systems to Refcom II Pro from Spintso. For several years, the federation has used Spintso’s earlier system, Refcom I, but as the sport has evolved and referees’ needs have changed, an upgrade has become necessary.

After testing together with Spintso, the federation chose Refcom II Pro – a flexible system that can be fully adapted to the conditions of the match. Referees can set up the system according to their needs, whether it’s to communicate with the secretariat, with each other, or to use functions such as PTT (Push-To-Talk) or PTM (Push-To-Mute).

– For us, it is important that our referees have the right tools to focus on the match and make the right decisions. After our tests, it became clear that Refcom II Pro is a system that meets our requirements and provides us with security for the future, with possible additions such as PA announcements or other functions, says Helena Persson, Club Developer and responsible for referee education and referee development at the Swedish Volleyball Federation.

The collaboration with Spintso also provides an opportunity to develop future solutions specifically for volleyball.

We want to work closely with our home market first and foremost, and then spread it further and develop together. This is an important start for us in volleyball, where we want to build relationships with referees and federations and adapt our solutions to their unique needs – which may differ from country to country.
