Developed by referees, for referees

Spintso is a Swedish company founded with a clear purpose: to create smart, user-friendly tools for referees – regardless of sport, level, or experience. Our products are developed by referees, for referees, with a deep understanding of what is truly needed on the field.

We believe that every referee, from beginner to elite, plays an equally important role in the game. That’s why we develop products designed to make everyday life easier for everyone – from the person officiating their very first youth match to the one standing in the final of a world championship, in almost any sport.

Today, our solutions are used across a wide range of sports, at both elite and amateur levels, and we are proud to support referees all over the world. We have resellers in several countries across Europe, North America, and Asia, and our products have become a natural part of referees’ toolkits worldwide.

We work closely with referees throughout the development process – listening, testing, refining – to create products that truly make a difference. Among our latest additions are Refcom II, our newest communication system for referee teams, as well as the Spintso Referee Watch S1 and S1 Pro – modern watches that combine technology and functionality in a way previously missing from the market.

History

It all started with a football match

It was the 2002 World Cup, and Brazil faced Turkey. The match became chaotic, and in the stands sat Roro Yakoub, watching how difficult it was for the referees to maintain control. An idea began to take shape – why were there no digital tools to support referees?

From that thought, Spintso was born – Sports Intelligent Solutions – becoming a registered trademark in 2004. Our first innovation and product was a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) for referees – a pioneering product far ahead of its time.

Since then, we have developed several groundbreaking products, including the almost mythical and legendary Spintso Retro Pro Referee Watch. We also count our communication system Refcom I as part of our history – and among our latest products are Refcom II and the referee watches Spintso S1 and S1 Pro.

Much has happened since 2002, but our driving force remains the same: to improve referees’ working environment, raise the quality of their tools, and elevate the status of a profession that is often under pressure. With a passion for sports and technology, we continue to develop the digital solutions of the future – together with referees, for referees.
